Expo-Sciences Luxembourg 2022Science, Youth, exchange and a lot of confettis!

The Fondation Jeunes Scientifiques Luxembourg organized from 6 to October 9, 2022, the 12th edition of Expo-Sciences Luxembourg, which took place at Forum Campus Geesseknäppchen.

Through more than 45 booths, the young scientists presented a wide range of unique innovations and research, from engineering, and environmental protection to political science, in direct interaction with visitors.

This year, 69 young participants representing 16 countries from around the world joined us in Luxembourg to exhibit and share their scientific projects alongside the young winners of the National Jonk Fuerscher Contest 2022. This non-competitive international scientific exhibition aims to promote the exchange of ideas and cultures between participants. The program offers Science workshops in cooperation with Science educators such as LTS Luxembourg, scientists from the LIST, or Scienceteens animations. During a week of activities, our youngsters can discover Luxembourg and its scientific culture hand in hand with our Jonk Fuerscher laureates to exhibit their projects to the public of Luxembourg eventually.

This science and youth festival has been an opportunity for visitors to discover the issues that captivate the future actors of international research, handle some of their fascinating prototypes and learn about new emerging fields of competence.

To complete the Expo-Sciences Luxembourg program, the participants came on stage to receive their certificates from the hands of the Minister of Education, Children, and Youth, Mr. Claude Meisch. Then, as a keynote speaker, the FJSL invited Michal Sahaf, Ph.D. - from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem - invited along with Mr. Jean-Paul Bertemes from FNR to address the participants and share their experience. Finally, they cleared the scene for artistic interventions by local artist EDSUN.

Expo-Sciences Luxembourg has been open to the public on Saturday, 8, and Sunday, October 9
